Terms and Conditions

Goods are only supplied on the condition that the purchaser has read and fully accepted our terms of trading as detailed below. The placing of an order is deemed as confirmation that the customer has accepted our terms and conditions of sale.

In these written conditions, the “Seller” means Logicline Trunks Limited, and the “Buyer” means the person, company, or organisation that is purchasing the goods. The “Goods” refers to the goods which are the subject of the contract between the Buyer and the Seller.

Prices

All goods are subject to (UK) VAT at the current rate of 20%. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The prices quoted on the screen are inclusive of VAT and courier costs, except where we have stated that there is any additional charge due to the size, weight, or the destination such as Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland, and any other locations that take two days to deliver to.

Storage Trunk and Tuck Box Colours

We do our utmost to make sure that the photos on our website are a true and accurate representation of the various colours and materials that we stock. Due to differences in computer monitors, mobile phone displays, screen resolutions, and refresh rates, we cannot guarantee that the colours of the items on your screen will exactly match the colour of the trunk you will receive. Your product(s) may vary slightly from those images. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or telephone. If required, we are happy to either text or email a photo of a material prior to making.

How to Order a Storage Trunk

To make a purchase, it could not be simpler. Just browse our website and select the items that you wish to buy and add them to your shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on the ‘checkout’ icon and you will be asked for your name, address, email address, mobile/landline number, registered card address, and/or a delivery address (if different to the cardholder’s address) as well as the type of card you are using (MasterCard/Visa, debit or credit). We also accept payment with Google Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal. We can issue an invoice and take payment via a BACS transfer, or take your card details over the phone, which will involve a one-time security passcode or approving the sale in your banking app. Your details are safely secured on our webserver using a 2048-bit SSL encryption system.

Upon placing your order, you will receive a payment confirmation from our gateway provider PayPal. You will be allocated an order number, and this is proof that we have received your order safely. You will also receive a written order confirmation via the email address provided in your order once your trunk is ready to be couriered. Please check your spam or junk folder if this email has not been received.

Our website provides the measurements of a storage trunk in both external and internal (metric) millimetres and imperial (inches), the capacity in litres, and the weight in kilos (1 kilo equates to 2.20462 pounds). Additionally, there is a blacked-out silhouette of a lady approximately 5’5 tall standing by the trunks, showing them in all three dimensions.

It is our aim to make and deliver your order within seven working days of your purchase, with exceptions during Christmas and New Year (when we are closed for two weeks), Easter, and some weeks during July to September, our busiest twelve weeks of the year.

Making Sure Your Measurements Are Accurate

If we are making the product to measurements you have provided, you are responsible for ensuring that these measurements are correct. However, we reserve the right to allow up to a +/- difference of 1 inch or 2.50 cm.

Your Right to Make Changes

If you wish to make a change to the product you have ordered, please contact us as soon as possible. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible, we will inform you about any changes to the price, timing of supply, or anything else necessary due to your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to proceed. If we cannot make the change or the consequences are unacceptable to you, you may want to end the contract (see below: Your Rights to End the Contract).

Credit/Debit Card Security

We operate an HTTPS website using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) to encrypt the connection between the website and the user’s browser. The “S” in HTTPS stands for “Secure” and indicates that the website has an SSL/TLS certificate installed. HTTPS is crucial for websites handling sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, passwords, and billing addresses, protecting users’ privacy by preventing hackers from accessing sensitive information.

We have never been subjected to a cybersecurity attack or been the victim of credit card fraud using our WooCommerce shopping platform. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is processed via our 2048-bit SSL encryption system. The details are only decrypted after they are passed through our webserver and are not visible to third parties or us at any stage of the transaction. We do not share customers’ personal details with any third parties.

Shipping and Delivery of Your Order

Please be aware that the “lead times” mentioned on our “how to order a trunk terms” is an estimation of the production time and can vary during busier periods. This does not include the actual delivery time, which varies depending on your location. We kindly ask that you factor in this timeframe when placing your order.

We are only able to courier storage trunks and tuck boxes to England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. We are not able to courier to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Republic of Ireland, or any overseas destinations. Buyers are welcome to arrange collection with a freight forwarder or shipping agent once their cases have been paid for.

Pre-10:30 am and pre-12:00 pm deliveries can be arranged for an additional surcharge, as can Saturday and Sunday deliveries. Please phone or email us for a quotation.

We cannot ship any case larger than our size 5 / 36” deep storage trunk to Northern Ireland, and there is an additional charge for all deliveries to Northern Ireland and Highlands and Islands addresses, as couriers charge us an excess fee for these two-day delivery destinations. The price for shipping will be calculated based on the total combined weight, location, and volumetric dimensions of the items in your basket. To obtain an accurate delivery price, please contact us for a quote.

Once your items are made, they will be sent using either FEDEX or DPD. The specific service or company used may vary to provide the swiftest and most cost-effective service. On the day your order is sent, you will receive written confirmation from us, followed by an email with the tracking number for your shipment and a link to track it.

Customer Collection

Customer collection from our factory at a pre-arranged time and date is possible. Please contact us to discuss this.

Quality, Checking, and Customer Receipt of Orders

All items are thoroughly examined and checked prior to leaving our factory for quality and to ensure that your storage trunk is free of any imperfections.

Customers are required to check all goods and packages before signing in acceptance of the parcel. If there is any sign of damage to the packaging or contents, the customer should either refuse the delivery or mark it as “damaged.” If you are in any doubt regarding possible damage, you should sign for the parcel as “damaged.” If the parcel appears free from external defects but you have reason to believe there may be internal damage, sign for it as “damaged.”

Please check the parcel carefully while the driver waits. Should the driver refuse to wait while you check the parcel, please write on the proof of delivery “driver refused to wait.”

When you sign for the parcel on the proof of delivery (P.O.D), you confirm to us and the courier company that the parcel has arrived in an acceptable condition. Any subsequent claim based on the goods being damaged or defective will be considered null and void by both the courier company and Logicline Trunks Limited.

In the event that Logicline Trunks Limited arranges the collection of damaged goods, we will attempt this once on the pre-agreed day. If this does not happen due to your circumstances or commitments and you do not advise us, it will be your responsibility to return the item(s) at your expense.

Packaging

All manufactured cases are couriered in a sturdy and durable double-walled cardboard box, secured tightly with parcel tape. There is no additional charge for this part of the service.

Case Specifications

We reserve the right to change, alter, or amend a storage trunk’s specification under our +/- tolerances allowance of plus/minus 1 inch / 2.50 cm.

Custom Built Cases

We are not able to offer refunds for custom bespoke built cases specifically designed to the customer’s measurements and dimensions. If it is the fault of Logicline Trunks Limited, we will cover all making costs and dispatch a new case within an agreed time with the customer.

As we make our cases in imperial inches using one-eighth increment measurements, we allow a plus/minus tolerance of one inch or 2.50 cm to the external measurements of all three dimensions (length x width x height). All dimensions must be confirmed to us in writing via email. Under no circumstances can we accept dimensions for a customised storage trunk order over the phone.

We will email our making sheet to you for your approval with the external dimensions (either cm or inches) and a full description of how the case will be constructed.

Delivery Time and Day

In the event that your parcel has been delayed or has not arrived on the pre-advised day, please contact us, and we will take this up with the couriers. We will revert as soon as possible with an update. Please check to see if a calling card has been left or posted through your door or postbox stating that the couriers attempted delivery and will return the following working day. Please advise us of any days that are not suitable for delivery in the customer comments section of the checkout.

Whilst we endeavour to meet delivery deadlines, you agree not to hold Logicline Trunks Limited responsible for any financial losses, delays, or damages due to circumstances outside our control, including but not limited to design changes, force majeure, lightning strikes, extreme weather, civil unrest, workers’ strikes, flooding, fires, network electricity grid failure, or machine breakdown. We will take all necessary steps to minimize delays, but in the event of a substantial delay (defined as four weeks after your order was placed), you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any product(s) you have paid for but not received.

Our courier can offer timed deliveries such as pre-10:30, pre-noon, and Saturday and Sunday delivery. Prices can be provided on request and are generally triple the price of a weekday delivery.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, or Scottish Highlands and Islands

The standard (UK) mainland shipping rates do not apply to these destinations, as they are classed as UK offshore. Once collected, deliveries to UK offshore will take 2 to 5 working days as per the courier’s delivery times.

Returns and Refunds Procedure

You have a legal right to change your mind (e-commerce contracts only) within fourteen days from receipt of your purchase(s) and receive a refund of what you paid, minus our full expenses for cases that are unsuitable for you, subject to the conditions and exclusions below.

How to Notify Us of a Return

You must email us within 14 days of receipt of your order at info@storagetrunks.co.uk to inform us that you wish to return your purchase for an exchange or full refund, minus our full outbound expenses (minimum £15.00, varying by case size). After 14 days, you are not entitled to return a case under e-commerce consumer laws.

Please include your dispatch note or invoice as proof of purchase with the storage trunk(s). The item must be returned in its original packaging, sealed securely with parcel tape, trackable, and fully insured with the courier company’s “extended liability” cover. We suggest using DPD, FEDEX, UPS, or Parcel Force 48 hours and sending to: Logicline Trunks Limited, Unit 3, High House Farm, Barling Road, Barling, Essex, SS3 0LZ.

You must send the goods back in mint original condition at your own cost (unless we delivered an incorrect item, or the item was damaged in transit or has a serious defect rendering it not fit for purpose) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the contract in writing within 14 days of receipt.

We reserve the right to deduct our full outbound costs for courier and packaging. The outbound costs will still apply when returning the item(s) at your expense. Please allow up to 14 days for your refund from the date we receive the returned goods.

We strongly advise retaining a receipt or documentary evidence from the delivery company proving that the item was couriered and the collection date. If we do not receive the goods within a reasonable time, we will be unable to refund you any monies. We do not arrange collections for items when a customer has changed their mind or the item is larger/smaller than expected, only when it has been damaged, in which case we will cover the return costs, which we will reclaim from the courier company.

We only refund for standard delivery, not any premium timed delivery service. We reserve the right to reduce the refund if the trunk is used or damaged, preventing resale as brand new. All goods must be returned in their original packaging. We aim to refund within ten working days of receiving your case at our factory address, allowing us time to check that the case is suitable for resale. Refunds will be made to the credit/debit card or PayPal account used to purchase the case, with no administration costs applied.

Unacceptable Returns

If you return a product within 28 days without pre-advising us in writing within 14 days of receipt, you do not have a right to do so under these terms or consumer rights, and we will not refund or exchange the product. We may retain the returned product until you pay any additional re-delivery charges.

If the item(s) are damaged or faulty, photographic proof must be provided to us by email with a written explanation of the visible damage. If the item is damaged due to the fault or negligence of the couriers, Logicline Trunks Limited will arrange collection and cover the shipping costs. If you receive an incorrect item due to our fault, we will arrange collection and cover courier costs.

All returns must be authorised by Logicline Trunks Limited, and a return date must be advised by the purchaser. If goods are returned that cannot be resold as ‘brand new,’ the buyer will only receive a partial refund at our discretion. After pre-advising us within 14 days of receipt, the buyer must return the item(s) at their expense within 28 days from the original delivery date in ‘as new’ mint condition with all original packaging intact. We reserve the right to reduce the refund if the item is not in the same condition as sent out. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure the item is properly packaged to withstand courier transport.

Guarantee, Warranty, and Liability

Guarantee

Logicline Trunks Limited offers a 12-month guarantee from the date of purchase for all storage trunks and tuck boxes. This guarantee does not cover general wear and tear, outdoor usage, damage from misuse (e.g., overloading or use for unintended purposes), barked castor wheels, corner wheels, internal foam, or top carry handles on sizes 10 and 11. We reserve the right to request the product be returned at the buyer’s expense for inspection prior to granting a warranty.

Liability

The seller shall not be liable for any damage to persons, goods, or property caused during the transport of our storage trunks or loss arising from their use in any situation. It is the customer’s responsibility to judge the level of protection for each situation and regularly inspect the storage trunk for damage. Logicline Trunks Limited is not responsible for any personal or third-party injury caused during the transport or use of our storage trunks. It is the customer’s responsibility to be adequately insured against all losses and personal injury.

International Delivery

We do not offer delivery to overseas addresses due to the risk of damage and high courier costs. We are happy to courier to your shipping agent or freight forwarder, or they can collect from us at a prearranged time once payment has been made.

PO Box Delivery

We are not able to deliver to PO boxes.

Tracking

Once the item has been dispatched, you will receive tracking details by email and sometimes a text message. For UK deliveries, your item(s) will be delivered using either DPD or APC overnight.

Lightweight Aluminium Rolled Stucco Sheeted Storage Trunks

Should you require a lightweight but strong case for transporting and protecting tools or equipment for industrial or semi-industrial use, our cases are ideally suited, offering the perfect balance between strength and weight. They are lightweight, durable, easy to clean, and rust-resistant (internal use only). Businesses, including professional sports teams and national TV prop buyers (e.g., BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 for shows like “Strictly Come Dancing” on 30.11.2024), use these cases for transit applications.

At Logicline Trunks, we can supply an extensive range of storage trunks, which can be fully customised by you or your props department/designers using coverings such as leatherette, vinyl oil cloths, sequins, spray paint, or exterior paint to create branding, logos, or promote your product/service online. We only customise cases with locks and additional extras listed on our trunks accessories page and cannot customise to a customer’s designs or drawings.

More Information About Storage Trunks

Our cases are available in various coverings, ranging from small aluminium carry cases to larger transit and storage cases. You can customise cases with extra locking mechanisms, lift-off lids, hinged lids, reinforced lids, reinforced bases, or extra-high lids (up to 28”). Rather than heavy-duty flight cases, our storage trunks offer an ideal strength-to-weight ratio, protecting your products or equipment while remaining lightweight and capable of withstanding the weight of a twelve-stone man standing on them.

This is particularly beneficial for transport companies where surcharges apply, as our aluminium stucco sheet is ideal when weight is critical (e.g., air travel or shipping containers). They are also easily stackable.
